Aggressive Nk-cell Leukemia is a disease in which there is an aggressive proliferation of natural killer cells. There is a strong association between the Epstein-Barr Virus and Aggressive Nk Cell Leukemia but the true cause is still unknown. Patients generally display general symptoms such as malaise, weight loss and fatigue. Because of the aggressive nature of this disease, many patients present symptoms at a more advanced form of the disease such as multiple organ failure. There currently is no specific treatment for Aggressive Nk-cell Leukemia approved by the FDA so it is currently treated similarly to B Cell Lymphoma with Anthracyclin- containing chemotherapy.
