OR2B3, also known as Putative olfactory receptor 2B3, is a 35.5 kDa, 313 amino acid protein that is involved in reception and transduction of olfactory signals in order to trigger the perception of smell. Current research is being conducted to determine the protein's role in diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus and neuronitis. The protein interacts in olfactory transduction and GPCR downstream signaling pathways.
