Description

NADH dehydrogenase subunit 4 is a 459 amino acid Core subunit of the mitochondrial membrane respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (Complex I). It is believed to assist in the transfer of electrons from NADH to ubiquinone. Defects in NADH dehydrogenase subunit 4 are a cause of Leber hereditary optic neuropathy.
