Epi-PlusTM Antibody Line Unveiled by Novus Biologicals

Novus Biologicals, a premier supplier of antibodies and related research products, announced today the release of a new product line for epigenetics research called Epi-PlusTM antibodies. Over the past several months, Novus has collaborated with 21st Century Biochemicals, a leading manufacturer of custom antibodies and peptides, to generate the most well validated antibodies for modified histones and other epigenetic targets.   

Several histone modifications have been shown in recent literature to affect the regulation of transcription and further epigenetic effects. While each modification has been associated with specific effects on the epigenetic code and subsequent phenotypes, histone modifications are part of a complicated system of checks and balances at the epigenetic level and there are many other remaining relationships to discover.

The laboratory teams at both Novus and 21st Century Biochemicals have performed extensive validation work in multiple assay types, including chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP), Western Blot, dot blots using modified peptide arrays, and immunocytochemistry (ICC).  Therefore, you can be assured that all Epi-PlusTM antibodies have been extensively characterized and validated, and are of the highest quality compared to other similarly commercially available products.
