Trans-golgi Network Markers

The Golgi apparatus is primarily responsible for packaging recently translated proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum. The trans-Golgi network is the outermost face of the Golgi and is responsible for packing protein into one of three types of vesicles depending on the final destination to the protein exocytotic, secretory or lysomomal.
