Renal Cell Carcinoma Cell Markers
Renal cell carcinoma originates in the proximal renal tube and is the most common form of kidney cancer. Renal cell carcinoma is resistant to radiation therapy and chemotherapy, however some cases respond to immunotherapy. Interleukin-2 has produced remission in some patients, as has functional restoration of the VHL gene.
