Specificity:

Using a conjugate Acrolein Protein, antibody specificity was performed with an ELISA test by competition experiments with the following compounds. Acrolein-BSA (ratio 1:1), Malondialdehyde-BSA (1:55), Glyoxal-BSA (1:>50,000), Formaldehyde-BSA (1:>50,000), Glutaraldehyde-BSA (1/>50,000). Crossreactivity ratio is the Acrolein BSA concentration/unconjugated or conjugated analogs concentration at half displacement.



Uses:

For IHC, FFPE samples must perform antigen retrieval (heat method) and de-paraffinization.
Other applications have not been tested.



Dilutions:

Suggested working dilutions *
ELISA 1:5000 - 1:10000,
immunohistochemistry 1:500 - 1:1000,

* Investigator should determine optimal working dilutions.

0.025 mg Immunogen affinity purified Rabbit antisera.

Store at 4C short term. Aliquot and store at -20C long term. Avoid freeze thaw cycles.

Notes:

For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
