Senior Lab Technician - Novus USA

Novus is seeking an experienced researcher to join our Research and Development department.  The position requires experience in tissue culture, molecular biology and Immunohistochemistry/Immunocytochemistry .  Candidate must be able to work independently, be extremely detail oriented and able to prioritize and meet deadlines.  Advanced degree preferred but not required.  Minimum three to five years research experience required.  Salary commensurate with experience. Technical Customer Service Representative - Novus Europe

We specialise in the production and sale of antibodies and related products and currently seek experienced scientists to join our European office, based in Cambridge (England), in the role of Technical Customer Service.

This role is ideal for a researcher with practical antibody experience now wishing to use his or her expertise outside of the laboratory.  We have both full-time and part-time positions available.  We strongly encourage scientists who wish to continue working in the lab part-time, but are looking for new challenges in the commercial environment, as this enables them to keep their lab skills / knowledge honed and up-to-date, although this is not essential.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Answer pre- & post-purchase enquiries to assist scientists to choose the best product for their research and in troubleshooting common antibody-related applications (e.g. WB, IHC / ICC, IP, FACS, and ELISA).
  • Liaise with our lab.
  • Willingness to travel within Europe a few times per year for conferences.

Knowledge, experience & abilities:

  • Minimum of 3 years working with antibodies and related reagents in the lab.
  • Lab experience MUST include significant use of Western Blotting.
  • Experience with IHC / ICC, FACS, IP and ELISA beneficial.
  • Ability and confidence to communicate effectively (both written & orally) in English.
  • Fluency in other European languages is beneficial.
  • Proficiency with computers and particularly the internet. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the EU.
