Skp1 Antibody

SKP1A (S-phase kinase-associated protein 1A) is an 18 kD protein found in the nucleus an the cytoplasm. This protein contains an F-box and has two different isoforms with slightly differnt molecular weights (A, 18.1 kD and B, 18.6 kD). SKP1A functions as a substrate recognition component of SCF ubiquitin ligase complex and RNA polymerase II elongation factor. SKP1A has also been shown to collaborate with a network of proteins to control beta-catenin levels and affect beta-catenin dependent TCF transcription factors. SKP1A can be modified by glycosylation and ubquitination. This protein has been shown to interact with cyclin F, Skp2, CUL1, cyclin A, and CDK2. The Poly6032 antibody recognizes the N-terminal human and mouse SKP1A protein and has been shown to be useful for Western blotting.
