Species Reactivity:

Human Sp1. Reactivity with Mouse is likely owing to sequence similarity at the site to which the immunogen epitope maps.

Applications:

Uses:	This antibody may be used for Western blot and immunoprecipitation. Immunohisto/cytochemistry has not been tested using this antibody. Suggested working dilutions: * Western Blot - 1:2,500-1:10,000 Immunoprecipitation - 1-4 ug/ml of lysate** The investigator should determine the optimal working dilution for a specific application. *NB 600-232 was superior in initial tests of IP efficacy.

Sp1 has always been described as a ubiquitous transcription factor that is required for the constitutive and inducible expression of a variety of genes, such as in cell cycle or mammalian development.
