Note: Not all species have been tested for usefulness with this product. Only those species listed have been tested. We cannot make any guarantees about additional reactivities which may or may not occur.
The epitope recognized by this antibody maps to a region between residue 750 and the C-terminus (residue 785) using the numbering given in entry XP_028606.4 (GeneID 6667).
Species Reactivity:
Human Sp1. Reactivity with Mouse is likely owing to sequence similarity at the site to which the immunogen epitope maps.

Sp1 is one of the first cellular transcription factors to be identified, cloned and characterized for its ability to bind to GC-boxes in regulatory promoter elements. Sp1 has always been described as a ubiquitous transcription factor that is required for the constitutive and inducible expression of a variety of genes, such as in cell cycle or mammalian development.
WB and IP: SP1 Antibody [NB600-233] - Detection of Human SP1 on HeLa whole cell lysate using NB600-233. SP1 was immunoprecipitated using affinity purified rabbit anti-SP1 antibody NB600-233. NB600-233 was used at 0.04 mcg/ml for WB.
