Background:

Human influenza hemagglutinin (HA) is a surface glycoprotein required for the infectivity of the human virus. The HA tag is derived from the HA molecule corresponding to amino acids 98-106 has been extensively used as a general epitope tag in expression vectors. Many recombinant proteins have been engineered to express the HA tag, which does not appear to interfere with the bioactivity or the biodistribution of the recombinant protein. This tag facilitates the detection, isolation, and purification of the proteins.

	Western Blot: HA Epitope Tag Antibody [NB600-363]-Samples: Extracts from S. Cerevisae co-transformed with plasmids expressing HA Tag G alpha and HA tagged RGS domain of RGS beta were screened by Western Blot to identify clones expressing both proteins. Antibody: affinity purifed rabbit anti-HA used at 0.1 mcg/ml

	Immunoprecipitation: HA Epitope Tag Antibody [NB600-363]- Samples: Lysate(150 mcg) from cells that were untransfected or stably transfected with a construct encoding an HA-tagged HIF 1-alpha truncation mutant. Affinity purified rabbit anti-HA used at 3mcg -150mcg lysate. Immunoprecipitated HA-HIF-1 alpha was detected using a monoclonal antibody to HIF-1 alpha.
