Background: Without colchine pretreatment well stained cell bodies are visible in the cerebral cortex, cerebrallar cortex, superior colliculus and some brainstem raphe. With colchine pretreatment, additional cell body staining is present in the interpeduncular nucleus and the dorsal column nuclei.
