NB 300-226 reacts with human and mouse forms of the protein. There is minimal cross-reactivity with Abeta 40 (see Notes). |
| Uses: | Immunoprecipitation and Western blot. The investigator should determine the optimal working dilution for a specific application. Other applications have not yet been determined. Previous customers have reported poor signal in ELISA against the Abeta peptide. |

Background: Amyloid beta-protein (Abeta) is associated with neuronal injury and death in Alzheimer's disease. These proteins are the main components of amyloid plaques. Abeta 42 plays a bigger role in deneurogeneration and is more strongly associated with Alzheimer's disease than Abeta 40.
