The amino acid sequence used as immunogen is 100% homologous in human, 93% in dog and orangutan, 86% in chicken and 80% homologous in mouse and rat (isoform a). It is also 100% homologous in human ACP1 isoforms c and d. An uncharacterized 45 kD band is also seen and blocked by the immunizing peptide.

Official Gene Symbol: ACP1 Gen Bank Accession Number: NP_009030 Gene ID: 52 (Human) Gene Map Locus: 2p25 (Human) ACP1 (E.C 3.1.3.2) is a unique member of Phosphotyrosine Protein phosphotase family of proteins. It is ubiquitously expressed acid phosphotase functioning as an acid phosphotase and a protein tyrosine phosphotase. ACP1 has a cysteine-based catalytic mechanism and hydrolyzes protein tyrosine phosphate to protein tyrosine and orthophosphate. Reports suggest a functional role of ACP1 in TCR signaling and control of cell-cell adhesion through regulation of cytoskeletion assembly.
Western Blot: ACP1 Antibody [NB100-56474] - Western blot analysis of ACP1 in the 1) absence and 2) presence of immunizing peptide in human liver lysate using NB100-56474 at 1 ug/ml.
