6-Histidine Epitope Tag Products
An epitope is the part of a molecule to which an antibody binds. Epitope tags can be artificially engineered into a protein sequence, creating a fusion protein which can then be purified through the use of tag-specific antibodies. The 6-Histidine epitope tag, also known as a polyhistidine tag or hexa-histidine tag, is a common epitope tag used by investigators. It contains a series of 6 histidine residues which can be used to detect nickel or cobalt ions at different pH levels.
