53BP1 Products
Tumor suppressor p53-binding protein 1 (53BP1) is a key protein for tumor suppression by coordinating the cellular response to DNA damage. Upon DNA damage, 53BP1 is activated by ATM Kinase phosphorylation and relocalizes to the presumptive sites of damage, specifically, double-strand breaks. This suggests that 53BP1 may also play a role in maintaining genomic stability.
53BP1 antibodies are very useful tools for cancer studies and research into DNA repair mechanisms.
