This gene encodes the fatty acid binding protein found in epidermal cells, and was first identified as being upregulated in psoriasis tissue. Fatty acid binding proteins are a family of small, highly conserved, cytoplasmic proteins that bind long-chain fatty acids and other hydrophobic ligands. It is thought that FABPs roles include fatty acid uptake, transport, and metabolism.

Uses:

The concentration for this product is lot dependent. Check product vial for current lot concentration. Typically concentration ranges from 0.5 to 1.5 mg/ml. This antibody is useful for Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry. This product has been QC tested by ELISA using a recombinant protein. Why use an untested antibody? SDIX’s GAT technology means these antibodies were produced through in vivo expression of the antigen, meaning the antibodies are highly specific to the expressed protein. Applications such as IHC and WB are more likely to be successful with GAT antibodies, than with any other production process.
