Background:

This gene product belongs to the 14-3-3 family of proteins which mediate signal transduction by binding to phosphoserine-containing proteins. This highly conserved protein family is found in both plants and mammals, and this protein is 99% identical to the mouse, rat and sheep orthologs. The encoded protein interacts with IRS1 protein, suggesting a role in regulating insulin sensitivity. Two transcript variants differing in the 5' UTR, but encoding the same protein, have been identified for this gene. [provided by RefSeq]

14-3-3 zeta [p Ser58] Antibody Pair Images (1)
Immunofluorescence: 14-3-3 zeta [phospho Ser58] Antibody Pair [DP0272] - Representative image of Proximity Ligation Assay (PLA) of protein phosphorylation. HeLa cells were stained with dual recognition antibody pair set, rabbit affinity purified polyclonal antibody 1:1200 and mouse purified polyclonal antibody 1:50. Signals were detected by Duolink® 30 Detection Kit 613 (red), and nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (blue). Each red dot represents one single phosphorylated protein.
